I m Tanja Koistinen a multidisciplinary artist with a primary focus on place-specific art, installation, prints and painting. My work starts from found or available material, texture, story or detail of a place and it implements a place trough shape and color.

I’m Lapland born artist who lives and works in Muonio area, in High North part of Finland.

I also collaborate with natural world, using materials from nature as a primary source of shape, such as nature stone prints, forest plant prints, drift wood carvings and and multiplying stones.

Im involved in community art projects and collaborations, exhibition productions, artist-led curatorial practices and projects.

Olen Lapissa syntynyt Tunturi-Lapissa asuva monimediainen taiteilija, ja teen taidetta paikkasidonnaisesti inspiroituen paikan tekstuurista, tarinoista tai yksityiskohdista. Teokseni lähtevät usein löydetystä tai saatavilla olevasta materiaalista, ja ne ilmentävät luontoa ja paikkaa muodon ja värin kautta.

Teen myös yhteistyötä luonnon kanssa, käyttäen materiaaleja muodon antajana, esimerkkinä luonnonkivi printit, luonnonkasviprintit sekä kivijäljennökset.

Työhöni kuuluvat myös yhteisötaideprojektit, julkisen taiteen tilaustyöt, sekä taiteilija vetoiset näyttelyproduktiot, joissa olen ollut mukana tuottajana ja kuraattorina.
